Question
Hi, I have a betta fish named dex (dexter) hes beautiful and cute anyways his fins like on his cheeks are flapping out i dont know if hes sick or pissed off what do you think it could be, also how much do i feed him a day or everyother day and what do you recomend with that? thank you very much

Answer
Hi Savannah;

Your little Dexter is just "flaring". It's how he makes himself look bigger to other fish and chase them out of his territory.

You can feed him every day, just 2 to 4 little pieces every day. Change his water at least once a week with water the same temperature as the old water. Use a good water conditioner too. Here is a good web site about their care;

Have fun! **waving to Dexter**
