listless betta since purchase and medication

Question
hi!
It's me again, unfortunately, I haven't been able to buy the medication you reccomended yet but I'll be going tomorrow and I was wondering if you could recommend another anti-parasite medication since the store does have it, but it doesn't have a copper testing kit so I really don't feel comfortable dosing unless I can measure the levels (like after a water change). I saw clout which seems like a good brand, what do you think?
an update on my betta:
he's swimming around a lot more, he's got these weird white, flat, round patches only on his gill plates and two small ones under his 'chin'. He's got the same grey patch on his anal fin but no other patches on th rest of his body which is a relief to me since it might mean he doesn't have columnaris. His fins are getting a little ragged and clamped, I've checked ammonia and nitrites and I can't detect any. He's also got a few tiny raised bumps on his fins. They're the same colour as the rest of him and they're irregularly shapedl; I have no clue what these could be.
In any case, I'm finally going to get him the maracyn II and a parasite treatment, hopefully you can recommend one before then, but if not it's perfectly fine, I realize I wrote very last minute!
thanks so much for your advice!

Answer
Hi!
Clout is a very strong medication.  Make sure that he does not stress with it.  If you see any signs of stress, change all the water.  A betta, when sick, should be treated quickly.  Every minute counts.  I would still recommend coppersafe with maracyn 2 combined.
It sounds like costia.
I hope I am not too late in answering you.  If you still want to use clout, do not mix it with any other medication.
Costia is best treated with a copper based medication.
