QuestionQUESTION: Hi Lauren, I currently have a 60 litre tank housing 15 Guppies and a 110 litre tank housing 6 platies and 3 swordtails 1m 2f..
My neighbour is ill has asked me to take in her 30 litre tank housing 15 Mollies. I have agreed to take it. I realise that I will need to swap around and want to know what fish I should put in which tank so they are all happy and not overstocked!
Your help would be appreciated
ANSWER: if you dont mind mixing the species then i have an idea..
also are all your guppies males?? always try to have 2 females per male (im sure you know) some people say 3 females per male
anyway
110 litre -
10 guppies
8 mollies
2 platys
60 litres -
7 mollies
5 mollies
15 litres -
3 swordtails
maybe that??

QUESTION: Thanks for such a rapid response... couple of questions regarding your answer
The smallest tank is 30 litre not 15 and I'd rather keep the swordtails in the 110 litre :D
On the 60 litre you put 5 mollies did you mean Guppies?
on the 110 litre you put 2 platies did you mean 6 ?
Yes I have 10female and 5 male guppies
Sorry to double check your answer but I want to ensure this is done right so I don't have problems down the line, I don't really know how many can be kept safely in each tank :D
Thank you for your help - Bec :)
Answersorry i wasnt very clear
basically in total you have 39 fish correct???
in the 110 litre put - 20
in the 60 litre put - 12
in the 30 litre put - 7
or numbers close to that, they all will get along and all are simular sizes so dont change those numbers around too much and you decide, see what looks good in each tank
Happy fish keeping!!
