My gold fish is sitting on the bootom

Hello,

I went to go feed my fish and I saw that 1 of them were sitting on the bottom of the tank. I thought he was dead so I put the net in the water and he swam. When I took the net out, he went back to the bottom. I tried feeding him and he wouldn't eat any food. He usually takes over and chases the other fish away so he could eat. Now, he just sits there. Why is this happening? Is he going to die?

Hi Sophie,
 It is hard to say what is causing this but most likely it is poor water quality.  I strongly recommend that you change 25% of the water in the tank, once a week, EVERY week to keep your fish happy and healthy.
