Managua Cichlid

Hi Ron,

How's it going? So my friend found your page and referred me to it.

Question, the last couple days my Cichlid hasn't been really active. She just lays at the bottom of the tank on her stomach. This morning I found her laying on her side. It seems like it's gotten worst, looked like she had a hard time breathing because I can see her gills. Now she's just struggling... can she still be saved? Any info is much appreciated & thank you for your time.

Hi Bo,  
 She might just be getting old.  Your best bet is to do lots of water changes to make sure that the water is as good as it can be and then she can fight off whatever it is that is bothering her.
