Accidentally bought a Red Devil cichlid

Question
I went to the pet shop with intentions of buying a blood red parrot for my 60 gallon tank.  The way my local pet store works is pretty much self serve meaning you catch your own fish.  There were two tanks for the blood red parrot.  One is labeled blood red parrot and the one next to it was labeled blood red parrot AND red devils.  In short I accidentally grab a Red Devil without even knowing it.  I know what a blood red parrot looks like but i didn't know that the red devil kinda looks like it too.  So I ended up having 2 parrots and a red devil.  I've researched the Red Devil as soon as i noticed it's behavior towards the two other fish and I know I had to separate it.

I had a 10 gallon tank that i set up to originally use as a quarantine/hospital tank but now I had to put my Red Devil in it.  What should I do now?  I do not have the space nor the money to buy another big tank and I want my 10 gallon tank for other use.  I tried to look for someone to adopt my red devil but none of my friends have fish tanks. I don't think the pet store will take it back.

Answer
Hi!
As you know, blood parrots are quite  timid, have no defense, and cannot be mixed with Red Devils.  Red Devils are true to there name.  Bring it back to the pet store, and give it to the fish Manager, you have no choice.  Don't ask for a refund, they seldom give you a refund, and if they are a good pet store, they will understand, and take him back. This is the only thing you can do for this poor fish.  It boggles my mind that the fish store would put these fish together in the same tank.
