Question
Hello I've seen Bolivian Rams and Blue Rams both at LFS. I'm going to get a 10gl (about 40L) tank to move my biggest shrimp into. He is bamboo/wood shrimp about 4 inches long. Can I put a pair of Rams in with him? Or will they eat him. Also can I have two male Rams in the same tank. Thanks in advance!!

Answer
Hi,
Rams cannot go in a 40 litre tank. They need tank of around 80 litres at least.
Rams are not very aggressive, so they would not eat the shrimp, but they just like bigger tanks, and will not be happy or indeed healthy in that tank. If you got an 80 litre tank, you could have a pair of gorgeous Blue Rams, 3 dwarf corydoras and 6 Tetras, such as Neon, Cardinal, Rummy-Nosed, Lemon, Emperor, Black Widow, Black Phantom or Red Phantom Tetras.
Good luck with the new tank.
Best wishes,
Kathryn
