fresh water parrot fish

i have a large fresh water tank of siclids , i have 3 parrot fish aswell one of them has not come out of her cave latley and is not eating ,also i have noticed her cloaca to be swollen . Could she be egg bound ? If she is what should i do ?

Hi,
This often happens with parrot fish. They have lots of deformities, including their reproductive system. They cannon reproduce, but some females make infertile eggs, even though they have no way of fertilizing or even laying them. It should stop in a week or so.
