QuestionHi Ron,
My flower horn has been having constipation ever since I got it, about 6 months ago! I have to feed it little by little. Otherwise it will just swallow the food (pellets or shrimp) in one frenzy go! After that, it will begin to 'bloat' and lie sidewards at the surface. I don't know what else to do. It has never been ok for a complete week!
Secondly, lately i've noticed that its 'hump' has shrunked, with some 'blue-black' patches on one side of the head.
What's wrong with it??????
AnswerHi Vincent,
That feeding problem is rather unusual. You might try soaking the food in water first so that it isn't one big hard mass in his stomach.
The hump is an indicator of how the fish feels, so if he doesn't feel well, it is not surprising that his hump is shrinking.
