Question
Hello and thank you very much for your great help.

I have a 5-gallon freshwater tank for my betta and would like to please know if changing 25% or more of the water every week is recommended.

Also, I have a 1-gallon tank that I please need to know how often to change and how much of the water?

THANKS AGAIN

Answer
Henry,

Yes 25% water changes every week is need for your Betta. With the one gallon, it really is not big enough for any fish and definitely not a Betta. With the smaller tanks, the water changes are the same, 25% but it will need to be done more often. You will need to change the water every 3 to 4 days. I would suggest buying a liquid water testing kit. Test the water weekly and depending on the reading you will know when to do the changes.
