Male betta sizes

Hi Jaymie,

I just bought the two male betta's a couple of weeks ago. I would like to know if the betta's in pet stores are babies or adults? Also if they will grow bigger, how long does this take. I know there is a type of male betta that is bigger than the others I did see one but I had already bought mine. I have tried asking this question on the computer and am getting all kinds of different answers. I know you will know for sure.   Thanks

Most of the Betta's sold in the large pet store chains are between 1 year to 18 months. All the different breeds of Betta's are different sizes so its hard to tell without knowing what type of Betta's you have and how big they are. I can answer better if you upload a photo of your fish. That way I can see them and will be able to better tell you how old they are.
