QuestionQUESTION: I had never had an aquarium before but when my husband set his up (with nothing but Oscars) I thought I'd like to have a small one of my own. Besides a few other fish, I bought a Dalmation. We've had it about 3 months. Recently, within the last day or so, I noticed that it went from a silver color with black spots to almost totaly black! Is this normal and what causes this? Our electricity did go off for about 1 1/2 hours just prior to me noticing it's color change.
Thanks for your help.

ANSWER: Hi Sherri,
Fish can change color for lots of reasons, so it is hard to say what caused this particular change. Is he still active and eating (the fish, not your husband)?

QUESTION: LOL!!!! Yes... to both! It's still active and eating fine.

AnswerHi Sherri,
That's good on both accounts. I wouldn't worry about the color change at this point, but keep an eye on things in case something else changes.
