Question
I have a tank of guppies in which produce guppies galore. I put the guppies in my seperate 20gal red-eared slider tank. there is a pleco and goldfish(feeders) in the tank as well and some ghost shrimp. Here is the question> What fish can i get to slow down my guppy population without eating all of them but can also hold its own against my turtles. (p.s.- my turtles are friendly most of time)

Answer
Are the turtles in your main tank in with the guppies, plec and goldfish? If so you will need to check they are compatible with fish, as most prefer a species tank. Also, goldfish are coldwater fish so will not appreciate tropical temperatures. Most fish will either eat all of the fry, or none at all, so buying another fish to control the population may not be the best idea. Removing some of the adult guppies and seeing if a local fish store will take them in is the best bet. Then there will be fewer fish to produce fry.
Wishing you the best of luck,
