Budgies ceres cracked!

I let my budgie out of his cage as i do daily but instead of just flying around my room like normal he flew in to the wall really hard. Now his cere is very cracked and underneath it there are signs of blood. Should i take him to the vets?

I would recommend taking the bird to the vet ASAP if you see blood in this area.  There could be serious injury to your bird inside where you cannot see.

It can be very dangerous for birds to be allowed free-flight inside our homes for this very reason.  They can become frightened and fly head-on into walls like yours did or window glass, etc.  This bird could have actually died on impact, I've seen it happen, so you/your bird are very lucky to still be alive.  I would recommend trimming wing flight feathers so your bird doesn't have free-flight in your home.
