Question
When I first got my male parrotlet ,Larry, he was very kind and gentle.
But when I got Summer, a female parrotlet , they both got vicious and started
teaming up on biting me! HELP!!!!

Hello Makayla,

When adding more birds to your flock it does require more time and commitment dedicated to training and maintaining your positive relationship with each bird.

First if you want a relationship with each bird then make sure not to set them up in a breeding environment. Don't provide nest like objects such as cozys, boxes, or any nesting materials. Do provide them with as many bird safe play areas throughout the house such as play gyms, ceiling gyms, window perches etc. The more time they spent in or on their cage the more likely they are to become territorial of it.

Next, it is important to spend time with each individual bird in training sessions. Here is a link were I discuss basic parrot training. Start with these exercises then you can move on to more fun and complicated behaviors.
