Question
can a stallion breed their daughter or granddaughter i am new to this we have sheep and i know we can use our rams more than once by skipping generations.

Answer
You wouldn't want to breed a daughter to father too close but I do know some people who will breed a great grand daughter to a great grandfather. The problem with doing this sort of thing as is with the sheep as well,is that you can get really good crosses and outstanding offspring or you can get a genetic throwback and get the worst falls anywhere in the background of the father. It is better not to do this practice as a rule unless you are sure of no major faults on the fathers side or the mothers side back to the beginning. I have seen some dwarf type minis with this practice or major crooked legs which might go back 10 generations. So Just know your stock well and their backgrounds unless you are prepared possibly for something incredibly bad. I bred pygmy goats before the minis and I used the practice you use with your sheep except I found the same to be true with the goats as with the minis. It was the most outstanding kids or the worst. So guess my take on it is I personally am not willing to chance it but it is a personal choice. Hope that helps?
