Starting pregnant mare?

Would it be okay for me to start under saddle my pregnant mare who is 3 1/2 years old and is 5 months pregnant?

Hi Monika ,
            If you just plan on doing walking and mild trotting with her then you can start her. If she is a mare who is nervous or flighty then I would hold off. More importantly, judge what you do by her attitude. Some mares are wonderful and willing to learn while they are pregnant while others do not want to be touched.
