Haltering a 14yr old 1/2 Arab Stallion

Question
I have raised this stallion since he was 2 mo. old. Last couple years I have not been able to work with him on regular schedule; now I have the time.  First 3 times he willingly accepted the halter and lead. Now if he even sees the halter he will move off. When I do get close enough to try the halter he will grab the bottom with his teeth, effectively stopping being haltered. Any Help would be very appreciated. I know I have spoiled him terribly so sure I will have a lot of work to do. I have ridden him bb and no bridle or halter; he responds to the slightest pressure of my knees and thighs.

Answer
Hello Raymond,

Thanks for your question. Im not sure if I am understanding your question or not because you said your have ridden him bare back. Im not understanding what you mean by when you get close enough. Have you tried putting a lead rope around his neck and slipping the halter on? If you are ridding him you may be able to slip a rope around his neck and try to halter him that way. If Im not understanding the question please let me know and I may be able to better assist you

Thanks
