Question
I have a 10 yr. old Th/draft mare that is very talented, my 16 yr old daughter has ridden her training level eventing, she has now outgrown her and has another horse that she has decided to concentrate on dressage and is not taking the time to work our mare, Do you know of anyone in New Hampshire who can help me find her a good home?

Answer
Dear Joyce:
I'm afraid I live far away from beautiful New Hampshire (Vancouver, British Columbia) but I can make some suggestions. You could make up a good colour flyer about your mare and post it in your local tack stores. There are probably good local "horsey" publications in your area that have classifieds and there are a number of good web sites that allow the prospective buyer to search by location (Dreamhorse.com for example). You might also speak to your farrier and to your vet both of whom probably have good connections with the local equine community.
Best wishes,
S. Evans
