Knotted-Rope-Halter hello madam,
1)why trainers keep the headcollar on few horses permanently, though he's on the track along with bridle or he's at the stall.

2)is rope halter more advantageous than the leather halter, especially for racehorses?? if yes, then please tell me the advantages of nylon rope halter over a leather halter

Answer
1. some trainers keep it on because it makes it easier for the groom. they do not have to keep putting it on and off. race horses here are required to always have a halter on in the stall in case of an emergency such as a fire so horses can be moved fast.
2. for race horses use a leather halter. rope halters are good but are mainly for western horses it allows less " bulk" on the horses face and is used under the bridle to tie the horse up.
