Percardial Effusion

Is Pericardial Effusion hereditary? It's a heart condition on dogs, cats and horses, but Im not sure if its hereditary. I dont know if you would know, but anyhelp is great. Thanks!

Thanks for your question and I hope I can be of some help. I have never studied animal medicine so I am not an expert in this field but I'll try to answer your question.I read numerous articles online and I have not seen 'hereditary' as one of the causes. So I would have to say no that it isn't hereditary. Here are some websites I found that might answer your question and any others you have.
