Question
Which do you prefer horses or cars? If Horses, Why?
thanks

Answer
Hi Kacey,

I'd take a horse over a car any day!  There are many reasons why and I'm the perfct person to ask because I ride the english/show way like many people but also I ride a whole lot different than most.

In a car your shut in, the person has control of it they can speed they can slow, they can turn, they can do whatever.  Maybe you have a convertable, which is a bit better, you at least have the wind in your hair. Needless to say, I don't have a convertable. Even if I did it would make no difference, when you drive it's rather boring, you get lost in thought and the time passes, yet it is boring.

Many people may say, on a horse you just sit there, you go around and around in circles, let me tell you, thats not what I do! There's adrenaline in riding!

Okay here goes.  Have you ever galloped, full speed, through a field that has hills (steep hills) going up and down, in perfect control of your horse...with nothing, at all, on them? I have, your hearts racing the wind is in your hair (often it's not tied up and it's hell to brush later!) the ground is going by so, incrediably, fast, because I do mean full speed!

Next...Have you ever been on a horse with nothing at all on them, in perfect control and galloped FULL SPEED, through twisting and turning, up and down trails in the woods? I have it's so much fun, exciting even frightening, if your horse takes a wrong step they may fall since the corners can be sooo sharp and the hills so steep (the ones I gallop down). You may say, yes but you said that your in 'perfect control.'  I am, when I sit back he slows when I urge he goes, when I use my right leg he'll take that left turn and I use my left leg he'll take that right turn.  Even if I have perfect control, my horse has a mind of his own, he has character he thinks...he's an Egyptian Arabian, and he has energy.  He's spooks, he bolts... you don't just 'sit there' if you want to stay on, you ride, and you ride well, especially with nothing on them. In a car, I'd say, 'you just sit there' and it's not nearly as exciting as the above. Also a car can't think, if you love a car it dosn't love you back, yet if you have a good relationship with your horse, they'll give you all they have, their heart, not joking, they'll do their best for you.

Also, have you galloped (very fast) over a course of  (up to 3'10ft.) jumps, with nothing on your horse? I have and it's pretty awsome!

Last point, you can't train a car.  Yet with my horse, he can do tricks, he can say yes and no.  He can bow with his leg on the ground, he can hug and rear on command. Soon be able to lay down!

Horses are way better than cars, I havn't yet met a car that can do tricks or take me for an exciting and crazy ride through a small trail in the woods.  They wouldn't fit and...the driver can contol their car. I havn't met a car that can do a course of jumps, and spook and bolt at scary objects on the trail. I have not met a car as exciting as my horse or any horse that I'll ever own and train, plain and simply because THERE ISN'T ONE! As I said before a horse has a personality, a character and he loves you back!
No car is as good as that.

Hope I helped!
