protecting horse heels

hi sir. can you suggest me the best medicine that protects the heels of a horse from cracking and getting damaged? my stable boys apply caster oil for the hoof though you suggested sunflower oil.

I suggested Sunflower oil because of it's thinner viscosity.
YOU MUST read my answers and Limit your questions to what is pertinent to the subject.
