Horse Breeding- Mare diet

Question
I am Breeding My mare in a month, Her name is Raven and I need to know how much food i need to give her and what different food if i need to switch the food for her and the baby? I feed her Sweet 16, other known as Sweet feed or Hugo Sweet 16, But at FLEET FARM they call it Sweet 16. And should i start feeding her some minerals or not? She is a breeding Stock Mare and she is very healthy and has had a baby before.

Hi Abigail,
             Until the mare's third trimester, she can be kept on her regular diet. When she starts her ninth month then her grain should be increased as that is when the foal grows the most. I put all of my mares on a 16% Mare and Foal complete feed. Since it is a complete feed, no supplements are needed. Since all mares are different, I would start feeding her the amount that is on the bag and increase or decrease as needed.
