wheezing tortoise ???

I am watching a red footed south American tortoise for a friend and he seems to be wheezing. I do not remember being able to hear him breathing earlier in the week, but mow I hear each breath and his throat puffs out when he breaths. I have followed the routine she left me as far as feeding and watering and spraying the cage is concerned. He may have been doing this the whole time and I just noticed it, but I am not sure and I cannot contact her. Any advice would be helpful.

Neck puffing is normal, and a little puffin or noise is OK.

What we are looking out for is wheezing, gurgling, bubbling, and so on- just like if you had a cold!
