Answer
Hi Rahul,

For future reference, please know exactly what species you're getting and how to care for it *before* you bring it home.  It will save you worry and possibly save the animal from illness or even death.

I believe you have a species of tent turtle (Pangshura, possible Pangshura tentoria), although I'm not positive of this and can't tell you what specific subspecies as these aren't common in the US.  Ideally you should go back to where you got the turtle and ask for the exact species name to be sure, or find a local expert who's knowledgeable about Asian turtle species.

Whatever species it turns out to be, it's likely native to river areas and will require a large tank (ideally 100 gallons or more) with excellent filtration (external canister filter), basking heat, and a good source of UVB (specialty reptile bulb).  If the turtle isn't eating, it's likely because it's basic habitat needs aren't being met.  You will also need to feed a varied diet that can include pellets, but NOT just pellets.  You should feed a variety of animal protein (worms, snails, guppies, etc.) along with greens (dandelion, mustard, collards, kale, etc.).

Turtles are interesting pets and can do very well if set up correctly and given a good diet.  The most important aspects are to provide plenty of room, excellent water quality, heat and UVB, and a varied diet.  Below are some links that may help you to set your turtle up right.
