My Red Eared Slider Baby Turtles

I jst got two baby red eared sliders a couple days ago, they seem to be perfectly healthy. But they will no eat and all they do is sleep. Occasionally they swim around and they are playful, but a majority of the days is spent sleeping. They are not timid at all, they let you hold them and dont try to run away, they just look around. What should I dont about them not eating and sleeping all the time?

Turtles that do not eat and let you hold them quietly are badly stressed and may be very ill.

I do not know what the specific issue here is- the water temps might be too cold, the water might be too dirty, the diet may be wrong, etc.
