Question
Hi!. Do you know if there's any sexual size differences in red foot tortoises? Are adults supposed to have raised scutes, like lumps? thanks! Reverend JackieDMS

Answer
Hello Rev. Jacki,

To answer your questions:

There is a diffrence physically between male and female. size and the tail. the tail is thicker so his boy parts can fit in.
The male also his lower shell is concave making him able to mount a female.

The bumps  you refer to are called pyramiding and NO you should not see that. this is generaly a care issue and or husbandry..
What is the red foots diet?
Does it get to go outdoors?
UVB provided?
Animal protiene>?
Enclosure size?
Able to get exercise?

Please let me know so I can help
