underside of turtle We found these baby turtles in our backyard. They had just hatched. We live in Kansas. Do you know what kind of turtle this is?

I'm not an aquatics expert, so I can't say for sure, but could be a slider, which are native to Kansas. Here's a list of native turtle species that may help: http://www.cnah.org/khs/ksherps.html Since they are wild turtles, they should be returned to the nest area. Offspring are important to the survival of wild populations, so please don't keep them.
