my turtle is ill

Question
i have had my turtle for about 8 months i got him from a fresh water pond were i work. i found him in the middle of the road and he was just a little thing and he has been doing just fine in a 100 gallon tank with another smaller turtle and feeder fish and just recently he has 2 white spots on his back and a lump on the side of his neck but there is nothing wrong with the smaller one please help me find out what is wrong with him.

This is not a lot of information to base a diagnosis on- not even the species of turtle or size.

White spots on the shell can be pretty normal- air bubbles under the shell, much like you can get on your fingernail. However, if there are a lot of them, they are filled with fluid, they are growing, or start to show another color then it can be a form of shell rot.

The lump on the neck is more worrisome. It could easily be an abscess- a pocket of infection and pus. It usually takes a vet's care to clear up the infections involved.
