housing a turtle

I have a foot long turtle not sure how old that is but im moving and i cant take it with me is there any way i can give it to a aquarium or a zoo or something like that?

You can sure ask, but most zoos no longer accept pets (they are too crowded already).

Other options include:
- Reptile or wildlife rescues
- Animal shelters
- Nature center
- Local herpetological societies
- Flyer in nearby pet shops
- If it is a native species, release it in a city park-based pond or lagoon (not a wild pond!)
