My yellow belly?

I am on the virge of buying a yellow belly turtle and I was wondering. Will he need land to be on or can he just swim all the time?

Yellow-bellies are pond turtles, which mean they spend most of their day in the water, but bask in the sunlight quite often.

A properly set-up tank will allow it to do both safely.
