mississippi map turtles

Hi Michael,   I have 15 Koi and a couple of comets. Their sizes vary from 3" to
12". The pond is about 10' by 10' and at the deepest point it is a good four
feet.  I have the Savio system with waterfall etc.
My question is, I just bought 4 Mississippi Map juveniles yesterday. The pet
store owner has assured me that they don't eat fish. Is it true and are they
good pets? They seem pretty skittish. I used to have a Caspian but he
wandered off in a thunder storm a couple years back. He had a lot of
personality. He would bask right next to me and eat out of my hand. He
never bothered even the mosquito fish. What can you tell me about Miss.
Maps? Also will they eat my plants.
