red eared sliders (babies)

i just got 2 baby aquatic turtles and i have gotten everything i need now. i set up the tank and just the submersible heater in the water but the turtle keeps going on the heater....like actually kind of sitting/hanging on it. will it burn him? is this ok?

Hi Gina, it can burn him so I suggest you make a cover for it, or buy a cover at the store.

Be sure to read as much as possible on these guys and congrats on getting them, they are great pets.
