strange behaviors!

I have two red ear sliders. They are both about 2 years old, one is male while the other is female. The female has been acting up recently, she has been climbing out of the tank and falling from the ledge and hiding in a dark and enclosed space. My question is why is she doing this?

Hello it is possible the male is trying to mate her and maybe scaring her adn or harming her. What kind of set up do you have them in?
What temps are the water.
Odds are he is dominating her and maybe hurt her. It is my advise to seperate tehm unitl you discover what the issue is to prevent injury,.
