Am I doing something wrong?

Question
Hello.
I have a sugar glider who is nearly 2 years old,and seems to be acting very strangely. For some reason,he didn't seem to bond to me very well, but I still do my best to play with him even though 9 times out of 10 he tries to refuse my handling him. Lately though,he's been worrying me. For a long time he was circling his cage,so I put in a hamster wheel so now he has hours of fun with it all through the night, but something strange has been going on. There are times when I pick him up he suddenly starts to gasp and falls onto his back drooling, just clinging to my fingers, and moving his mouth in a nibble motion . If I pull my finger away,he'll grab one of his paws and go for another finger to hold onto refusing to let go. After awhile, this little trance wears off and he's back to jumping.
 What could be the problem?

Answer
Did you see a vet?  Is everything okay?

Devon,

The trance activity is not normal.  Please go see a vet ASAP!!

The circling is probably due to his cage being too small.

You need to start all over with the bonding process.  Please go back to my previous posting for information on bonding.  The first step is to put him in a pouch and keep it near your skin all day.

Again, the trance thing indicates a serious problem, and your glider needs to see a veterinarian now!

Please keep me informed.
