Introducing a new male into a colony?

22 15:51:28

Question
I started of with a male and a female glider pair. They were bonded to each other but only the male was hand tame. We then rescued 3 other gliders 1 neutered male, his sister and their mom. They are all hand tame. We slowly introduced them with the other two gliders. Everything is going great and even the non hand tame female is getting better. Recently we have taken in another glider as a rescue. He was rescued from a box outside a bar. He is not neutered. The people that rescued him first kept him for a year but without a companion. Today we introduced the almost hand tame female and him together and they are doing great. Can I put him into my colony without neutering him? How exactly would you go about doing this? The same way as I introduced the others? Or maybe one at a time?

Answer
Sorry I am late in answering this question.  For some reason the question didn't appear in my queue.

Two unrelated males are not likely to get along.  I would suggest that you get one or both of the males neutered if you want them all together.  Otherwise, you could set up another cage with the new male and one or two female companions.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
