Can a sugar glider raised in captivity survive in the wild?

if they were raised as a newborn basically in captivity then I would say they would not really know what to do in the wild since they have never had to defend themselves and gather their own food in the wild...if you are asking this question cause you have a glider you dont want anymore I would look into giving it to someone that can care for him or her and would not recommend just setting it free into the wild...
