Anole not eating.

Question
Hello and thank you for taking my question. I found an Anole at work and since he would not be able to live in the climate of northeast Ohio I took him home.  I purchased meal worms and live small crickets. He does not seem to be eating anything I put in the tank with him. But he will drink water. I was just wondering if anything could be wrong with him since we won't eat anything. Also is it normal for them to shed their skin every couple weeks?

Thank you for your time.

Answer
Hello Rob,
Have you tried offering him the food directly with tweezers. He may either not have the energy to chase the food down or not be familiar with being fed that way. Also get some fruit flavored baby food (I have found strawberry or mango work best) and offer him a little of that, sometimes sweets will simulate their appetite. Do not leave the crickets or worms in the container with him for long as they can injure him. As to the shedding, for small lizards it is quite normal to shed very regularly especially if they are still growing.
I hope this is helpful
