Question
hi there!

i recently got a uromastyx lizard at the beginning of the year, however for a lizard currently rather small (about 6-7 inches) his set up is rather large. (4ft length 2ft high and 1.5ft depth)

therefor i am planning to add another lizard into the set up, however after reading up about desert iguanas i was thinking of placing one of them in there, if not then another uromastyx.

my question is: can the uromastyx live with a desert iguana? if not then another uromastyx?

please note however, if my current uromastyx does not take well to other company my dad also has a setup currently not being used and is willing to look after the new little guy.

thanks very much!

Answer
It would be better not to mix species.  Uros are from Africa and the Desert iguana from the Southwestern United States.  Lizards are highly territorial and will not tolerate interlopers.  Better to divide the tank with a piece of plexiglass while they are young and small, and then consider a 40 gallon breeder for the uro.  The iguana will better appreciate the larger tank.
