Bright green lizard

He there! I had seen that someone in Boca Raton(08/24/07) asked about a bright green lizard(looks like a baby gator). I believe that I have that same type of lizard in my backyard. I have looked on many sites to find out what it is, but I have had no luck. My question is do you thing that this lizard is possibly dangerous?? I have pets and kids, should I be worried about it in my yard?

Because there isn't any of getting a picture here, I hazarded a several guesses as to what it could be sight unseen.  The best advice I can offer you is to contact the nearest herpetological society.  They can identify and either reassure you about the animal or they can capture it humanely.  So many exotics have come to Florida and escaped or were let loose.  If it is an exotic, the society would know best how to care for it.  Here is a link to Florida's Herp Societies:
