Question
QUESTION: Hello sir!
i study in czech republic and they told me that i can take dead mice/rats/rabbits from the physiology department but they have been injected with anesthetics so my question is:

Can i feed these dead animals to my snake ?

Best regards

ANSWER: I would say no--the drug in their bodies might affect your snake.  Rodents bred for use as feeders are euthanized using CO2.

Answer
"Mice" is correct.

I don't know what effects the anaesthetic might have on the snake.  (It would depend on WHICH anaesthetic, and the doseage, as well).  A veterinarian may be able to tell you.

Some drugs that are safe for mammals are toxic to reptiles, so the name of the drug matters.  Also, even if it is not toxic, I don't think you want to anesthetize your snake.

How were the rodents killed?  If they were euthanized using the anaesthetic, that would not be a good choice for a feeder animal.
