Question
Hi Tracie!
I have 2 young Leo males, both around 8 months old. They are housed seperately, with accurate heating, humidity and lighting amounts. They are fed daily, and have no shedding or pooping problems. They appear to be in overall great shape. That being said, i've noticed for the past month or so that one of the little guys has been emitting a deep sqeaking noise from time to time. I'll catch him doing it usually in the evenings, when he is curled up in his coconut hide. Is this something that should be looked intp? Or is this normal maturing behavior?
Thank you for your time.

Answer
Hello Joey,

They can make noises such as squeaks, as they mature for no apparent reason.
I don't believe it has anything to do with mating or anything, just communication.  Can he see the other male possibly?  Sometimes, it could be a territorial thing.
It is a pretty bazaar sound isn't it?  :-)
