Help will my dragon die?????? HELP!

the bearded dragon looks sick
when i turn off the light for the night he turns kinda whitish and looses with brown color and looks like he is dead and he closes his eyes  when i turn on the light after a while he turns brown agian whats wrong??? he is my teachers she let me take him for winter break i did everything i was sopposed to

 If he is an adult, he may be brumating, which is normal.  If you wish to set your mind at ease, call your teacher for what she would like you to do, but as I said, brumating is natural for drgons in winter.  This link will give you a lot of information on brumation.  You may like to write a report on it for your class when school restarts so no one else need worry:
