Question
i just recived two red tail boas, one is about four-five months old the other about 7-8 monthes old. i currently have them both in the same 20 gallon tank and there dosent seem to be a problem but because they didednt know eachother before i am a little worried, will they be okay together until they out grow the tank?

Answer
Hi Kyra, There should not be a problem co-habitating these two which I assume are fairly close in size. You will have to separate them to feed them of course, that's critical. After they have fed in their separate containers let them stay there for about 20 minutes. Snakes can stay in a rather hyper excited feeding mode immediately after eating. If you re-combine them while they are still in this state they may have a misdirected feeding response toward each other (the other snake will  smell like rodent ). Just let them calm down for a bit and you will avoid that. That short amount of time without their heat source will not harm them in any way.
