Question
Hey Tracie,

This is Gwen, i have asked you a few questions but the site wouldn't allow me any more followups. I made a mistake in my last question--he is 23 GRAMS not 23 oz...oops!

He is now eating on his own and moving around, but he is still losing weight- he is skin and bones. So I thought I would try the Panacur? How should I administer the dosage?

Thanks,

Gwen

Answer
Hello Gwen,

Yeah, after a certain amount of questions you have to start another thread.  :-))
That is what I thought, 23 grams, but wanted to make sure.
Ok, at 23 grams, that is what I thought!  LOL
A simple deworming wont hurt him.  You can start him at .02ml once a week, & follow up with another treatment 7 days from then.  Then we can re-evaluate.  This is 50mg/kg dosage, ok, so it will be safe for him.  If you want to go lower we can.
That is good he is eating on his own though, that is a start.  Keep him hydrated, by using a plastic dropper to get oral fluids into him.
