Question
QUESTION: i had my chameleon for a month n i take him out everyday but today i tired taking him out n he hisses and tires to bite me how do i get him to stop n try and like me more plz help

ANSWER: OK, chameleons are not really a touchy-feely type of pet.  A chameleon's entire evolutionary pathway has led to an animal which is very hard to see.  So if it doesn't want to be seen it certainly doesn't want to be held.  When you reach in and grab your chameleon he's pretty sure you're about to eat him (pretty much anything else that grabbed him would).   Some chameleons will tolerate handling some will not.  If your's is obviously seriously stressed when handled, I would recommend you handle it very little.  Stress can kill and chameleon.  I tell people chameleons are fish with four legs and really long tongues.  You set them up in pretty tanks and look at them!

QUESTION: a veiled n when i hold him he was fine i stuck my hand in the cage he did not try n bite me or hiss at me for the past couple of days now i held him once since this happen but i need help

Answer
Philil, I believe I have answered your question.  Either your chameleon will "get used" to being handled or not.  If you wanted a lizard to hold 8 hours a day and walk around the neighborhood with a bearded dragon would have been a better choice.  Chameleon's entire lives are spent hiding, they feel exposed and vulnerable when you reach in  pick them up.
