Question
I have a female (most likely) leopard gecko that has showed in the last 2 days a huge red lump coming out of her cloaca. On the first days i thought it was simply diarrhea or a loss of tail? so i did not call the vet or place ANY sugar.  So right now as she started losing weight, i did some research and realized it was FATAL. So i quickly placed sugar and moist and cleaned the Huge ( NOW DRYED UP LOOKING) *thing* that has no especific shape to it besides lumps .  I dont have any chances of attending a vet, is it possible for me to place it back in, or should i cut it out? Is it an important necessary organ?

Answer
I'm sorry, but this has to be handled by a vet or a vet technician.  The chances of saving her if the cloaca is dry is not good.  Have you continued with the sugar water wrap?  HAs there been any moistening of the tissue?  Please try any vet for this, since prolapses occur in all creatures.  The cloaca is a necessary organ as it is the common duct for both reproduction and elimination.  Do NOT try this yourself.
