old injury

my ball phyton has a old injury on its side when it was about 2 weeks old it cut it self open bad it healed up but now he is sheading and it looks like it is opening up again there is a piece of his side hanging off and the scab is off can i put triple atibiotic ointment on him to help it heal better

I am so sorry to read of your snakes problem

I am also sorry that i can be of absolutely no help to you other than advise you to take the snake to a vet

I have never kept snake and have no knowledge/experience of dealing with injury or illness
