Dear Thomas .

I was wondering if you could help me. I have a large snake, Ryticulate phython ,i usualy feed her , by holding her food in an old pair of swimtrunks , But she somehow managed to get the swimtrunks snagged with her food and despite my best efforts to get the garment away from her without hurting her ,, she swallowed it down with her meal .

Can you please tell me if her eating the swimsuit will hurt her , at the moment she seams to be ok , But the nearest vet is a good distance away .

I look forward to hearing from you.

 Many thanks .Ewan

Hi Ewan,

This could be a Serious issue for your ry-tic,   im not sure if the digestive enzymes will break down the material as it has little to no effect on plant materials, how large is your ry-tic my boy pappa-zar is 18ft so far if yours is up there over 10-12 feet he may just pass it when he poops. he also may regurgitate now if nothing happens in the next couple of days get to the vet because he will become impacted and this ussually leads to death. if you can get back to me about the size and i will also call a friend of mine at the zoo hospital .

    hope this was helpful

p.s

i would reccomend larg tongs  as an alternative i used aqrylic ones from the cooking section of any department store in my pet stores.

         thanks again

Answer
Hey Ewan,

we think he will pass this on his own but yes please do keep an eye on him, if he doesnt take his regular after feeding poop then have him checked out but he is big enough to pass the shorts lol

please keep me posted and thanks for the question
